I have to say that working at a school is pretty much the best job for an artist to have. I had another day off today, and spent it finishing up these three pieces.
I decided to go back and add some detail to the Russian doll piece- dots of course- extra large ones! I might be obsessed, so I have decided to refrain from putting any dots on the next work I make. My goal is to have 10 to 12 new pieces completed for my show in May. Im hoping I can pull it off!
I finished this one last night, and had alot of fun with it. Especially with the background. I found this amazing package of multi colored tissue paper at Micheal's and almost peed my pants I was so excited (pictured below). I just think its so much fun to use! The background on this piece is made of layers of tissue paper and stripes of paint.
