Tonight, my friend Brynn and I attended our first arts council meeting! Wow! that sounds so grown up. We didnt know what to expect, but were very pleasantly suprised. It was made up of a small group of local artists who get together to talk about upcoming art events in Nashville and they also have a time set aside for critiques! Not to mention a delicious spread of food :)The people were so very warm and welcoming. And I think we both left feeling a little rejuvinated.
Something I have learned since being out of school (for almost two years now!), is that the encouragement and guidance of other artists is extremely important in order to thrive as an artist.
