We Are Bellevue

I have to say, I have always loved and been proud of my little town, Bellevue, but have been busting with pride the past couple weeks.
Bellevue has certainly gone through its hard times and is often the butt of many jokes, but the last couple weeks i think it has really shown Nashville what it is made of.

My best friend and I always look forward to the Bellevue Picnic, its one of the highlights of our year- its a time for proud Bellevuans to all get together and kick off the summer.
You would think that with all the disaster that our little town has suffered in the last couple weeks that the picnic would be cancelled or at least post-poned, but no! Bellevue pulled it together, even though terrential rains were expected, and put on the picnic. When the storm hit our area yesterday, all the venders and picnic goers packed up thier things and took shelter in thier cars and waited for the storm to pass. And once it passed, everyone set back up again! And the picnic continued. I think this is a true picture of what this town is about. We never give up. We pull together and get through things. We are recovering from the flood that hit us so hard on May 2nd and we will come back even stronger. Crosspoint Disaster Relief
