Not only is it 6am Monday- one of the worst times of the week.. But I was just informed that the Bazan show (which i have been looking forward to for months) has changed venues from The Exit Inn to the Mercy Lounge, and gone from the usual 10 dollars to 45!
To some people this is no big deal, but to someone who has appreciated the 10 dollar fee for the past 9 years, it is quite a blow. At no matter what season of life I have been in, I could always afford a ten dollar ticket- but between bills, gas, food and gradschool applications, this will be the first Bazan show I cannot afford.
His music is certainly worth every penny of the $45, but come on! Let the poor people go too!!
Here's to hoping that his shows do not continue at this pricey rate!
