Today I took advantage of tax free weekend and I finally bought a computer!
A gorgeous Apple MacBook Pro.
Finally- As in I have never had a computer before. I have always managed to get by on using a multitude of other computers that are not mine- ones with sticky keyboards at the library, busy school computer labs, and the computers of gracious roommates, friends, and family.
Im the first to admit that I am always behind the times- living in the dark ages (as some have described me).. always the last to jump into technology. But I think one of the main reasons is probably that I can be kind of cheap and have alot of trouble dropping a large amount of money on anything. So I wait.. and I think.. and then I wait some more.
Tax free weekend seemed like the perfect time to finally take the dive. Believe me- this purchase did not happen without alot of thought and self-persuasion!

Im not gonna lie, as I gave over my debit card to the cashier- my hand shook a little.
But as I sit here typing on this lovely new friend- I dont regret it in the least.
So make yourself at home, Mr. Mac.
I have the feeling this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
