Events like carnivals, fairs, parades and festivals enliven me! They are just a whole lot of random and crazy packed into one place. A complete sensory overload. Its almost like I dont even know what to do with myself.

Last night a couple of my friends and I went to the Tennessee State Fair, and it was AWESOME. Within a few minutes of ariving we were enveloped by this strange world of crazy music, strobe lights, wild rides, beauty pagents, wrestling matches, karioke singing, bull riding.. and on and on... The sights and smells and sounds of pulsing music and vomiting in the bathroom were alot to take in at once. Which is probably why the fair is not for everyone. But I find the crazy to be quite wonderful actually.

I think its probably so wonderful, because it is so unlike everyday life.

To me, carnivals are like this creepy little world full of mystery and absurdity. I find myself walking around in a trance of confusion and amazement at what is going on around me.

Simply put- they are mesmerizing.
