They are sharp, genuine, witty little people.
Today the assignment was for them to create a drawing of anything at all- anything their imaginations could come up with.
I like to sit down at the table and talk with them about what they are creating.
One of the little girls was drawing a beautiful picture. There was a flag, and a big colorful stick person right in the middle of the paper.
I asked her who it was that she was drawing..
She responded, "Its President Obama"
(this impressed me, because at age five, I am most certain that I had no idea who the president was- i was a very oblivious child)
What cracked me up was the response of the little girl who was siting next to her.
Her response in an annoyed and exasperated voice was,
"But President Obama steals all of your pennies!"
Politics. At age Five.
Your kids ARE paying attention... they even pick up on your political views.
