New Sunday Tradition

So, I have started a new tradition on Sunday nights- Ive been doing it a few weeks now (ever since the weather has turned magical).

For you "Go Green" save the environment people... this post is not for you. (then again, it might be nice for you to try too) I will go ahead and bravely be politically incorrect and admit that I don't always do "my part" to save the atmosphere- meaning i have a love for driving that cannot be smothered.

Ever since I got my license 10 years ago, driving has been one of my most favorite things to do. I even seriously considered being a racecar driver at 17 and 18.. and honestly I still have the urge.

But anyway.. I discovered that the radio station, Lightning 100 broadcasts a live show every Sunday night. Usually from a venue like 3rd and Lindsley or The Exit Inn.. places I have frequented over the years. I have not been dissapointed yet. They have been great shows!

So what I have been doing is making a tradition out of it, so I can finish the weekend off in a relaxing wonderful way. First I go and get icecream or frozen yogurt. Sweet Cece's if I really want to treat myself or a 50 cent icecream cone from McD's if Im feeling cheap.

The radio show usually starts around 7 or 7:30 just as it gets dark and I roll down my windows and go for a nice drive as I listen to the broadcast. These warm nights have been just too tempting to stay indoors. It's become one of my favorite times of the week. I suggest everyone try this. You will breathe a little easier on Monday.. I promise.
